Alternative Provisions

Our Alternative Provisions provide a safe and nurturing environment for learning.  We focus on building up positive relationships to encourage mutual respect between staff, families, schools and local authorities. We pride ourselves on having highly skilled teaching and support staff who are on hand to offer academic support as well as being approachable and supportive when needed.

We work with our students to improve their attendance, behaviour, social attitude and support them in attaining excellent academic qualifications as well as key life skills that will support them in making a positive progression in education. We work directly with schools, the local authority, families and each individually to identify ways to make their time with Oak Training as productive and enjoyable as possible.

We offer our students various qualifications that allow students to make a positive progression when they leave mainstream education. Students can expect to work across all or some of the following qualifications:

  • GCSE Art and Design
  • BTEC Tech Award in Enterprise
  • BTEC First Award in Hospitality
  • Functional Skills English
  • Functional Skills Mathematics
  • Functional Skills ICT
